Happy D-Day
So just wanted to get in a Happy 61st D-Day to all... A year ago my husband jumped into Normandy with the 507th and had such an amazing experience. I hope to go back with him someday. He said that the only downfall to the trip was there were so many ceremonies and so many press and VIPs that he didn't really get to see all that he wanted... so we'll go back with Gavin and Patton..somehow seems appropriate with our 2 kids named after WWII Generals...
So it's looking like Bragg is up next for us... hubby is in SF mode and I have to say that it's not my favorite post but I don't know if it's b/c I was there with my ex(which was just an all around a bad experience) or b/c Fayetteville sucks! So I figure that since I've changed the entire situation I may grow to love Bragg... we may not be there too long though with school only being 12-18 months and then trying for 10th group... so who knows... I love moving so being somewhere too long really grows tiring..I guess that's why I'm made for this military life!! I really need to get back to Europe very soon though..I miss the shopping and the pubs!
So for family and friends that read this.. my ultrasound went well.. still having a girl and she looked healthy and is measuring great! I just wish it was over tomorrow so I can have a margarita..oh well last one I should enjoy it right??? SO enjoy D-day everyone... thank a veteran or a soldier and remember that the rest of the world owes us one (or two or three)
